Someone got out in the ride today. Not going to lie...it was freezing cold.

Who doesn't love little girls in Easter dresses?
Taking pictures of the girls yesterday in their Easter dresses made me think about how big the girls have gotten and so fast. Addie is currently missing 4 teeth! Kaitlynn's favorite thing to do everyday is write cards to everyone that all read "I love you." She can even spell Auntie for her cards.
For Easter this year, I did try and convince Addie to wear the dress I wore when I was her age. She took one look at it and said "that is too old fashion." I laughed and said "IT IS! This dress is over 25 years old."
I made the girls happy by finding dresses that Amelia and Ellie wore on Easter once. These dresses are only 6 years old and from the right century I guess to keep the girls happy.
Here are some dresses from years past.

Chip off the old block
Addie has taken to writing me notes when she wants something and she sees I am busy. I think she spells better then me already. I look forward to the day she "quiets" basketball.

The Easter Bunny came early
Today we celebrated Easter, a week early as we wanted to spend it with Amelia and Steph! For me, all I had to had was show up at Steph's with some food and prizes.(my kind of party) However, Amelia and Ellie worked hard and starting planning the big day for us all last Friday night. The party started at 10 AM this morning. At 9:15 AM we picked up Richelle and Jared (Tilleskjor car plan) and headed over.
First, there was lots of excitement to see Amelia as always.
Even Eric got into the fun! (but that is not a surprise)
Next, the kids dyed Easter eggs. Even though they dyed 8 eggs each it took them about...2 seconds. Third, was the scavenger hunt. Amelia and Ellie puts tons of thought into the clues and the 4 kids had to work together as a team. This worked most of the time, Kiki only cried through half of it when she didn't get to find all the clues.
This clue below needs some explaining but I thought it was clever. Here the "deviled egg: filled the tub with over a hundred eggs but only one had the real clue and the kids had to go through pretty much all of them to find the true clue.
After Bingo was "Pin the tail on the hand drawn bunny"
Finally after all the games it was time for lunch and dessert! Amelia and Ellie made all the desserts. Cupcakes that looked like Peeps and parfaits.
Between the games and the food it was a whirlwind of activities but a ton of fun for everyone!

After the scavenger hunt, came the HIT of the day. Homemade Easter BINGO. Kaitlynn had the luckiest board. I even won on it!

What goes around...
March has been a terrible month for illness. Addie has had it twice, Kaitlynn once and now my turn. The annoying part is it isn't all at once, it is so spread out that I feel like someone in this house is always ill! Because I have spent the whole day in bed, I had to call in some help for dinner. Aunt Jemima showed up with her mad toasting Skillz.

Pinterest to the rescue
While dad was still asleep the girls and I took in a painting project. We do all out messiest work first thing in the mornings. They have been dying to paint all weekend. Kaitlynn used all of yellow paint and world war 3 was about to ensue between the girls but super mom used Pinterest to make up her own paint! Equal parts water, salt and flour and add food coloring. It isn't perfect bit it works! Gotta run, the scones are burning!

Today it begins
Today is the day...I am finally going to start a blog. And do you know why? It is not a great reason, but a reason none the less. All because this morning, Kaitlynn (at age 4) was so mad at me as I said NO to her, she took off her PJ shirt and chased me around the house trying to hit me with it. Who does that?
I decided I need a spot to record these adventures, as I will never remember them all.
Lost too many braincells in the pregnancies. e
