Vacation Day 1

FINALLY we hit the beach. The kids have been dying to swim and tube. Off we go to the sand bar!

We did it all in our first full day here. Checked all the boxes. Swimming. Fishing. Sand bar. Ice cream. Fire works and sparklers! Even after passing out in the afternoon they still managed to go to bed... Eventually.

Kiki's Fourth and Final Birthday Party

We celebrated Kiki's birthday, again, today with the Forciers and Mimi Michigan at the cabin. Our "Under the Sea" party started off with wave crowns. Next was coconut races, tattoos, a treasure hunt in the sand for coins, beach looking cupcakes and face painting. (Lauren who is 7 did Kiki's face...what a mess!). We didn't party until 4 this afternoon. In hindsight we should have done it first thing in the morning as the kids were a little crabby.

I think Kiki's favorite gift was the gum. She got a new razor scooter and a beautiful dress from Grandma Pat.

After the messy face painting and sand everywhere the party wrapped up with showers and down time with "Finding Nemo" for the kids and totties for the parents.
